Why Have a Comic Art Database?

To Answer Questions
We feel that the History, Status, Location, Owners, etc of Original Art needs to be saved and tracked so we can all have answers to the below questions:
1. How many times was this piece bought and sold?
2. How much price variance with each sales transaction?
3. Does a certain page indeed exist?
4. Who owns it now in case I want to make an offer?
5. Are there any funny or interesting stories about a particular piece of art?
Everyone can help build the Database
100% FREE to Join. On this site, anybody can create a master record of any piece of Comic Art in existance. This will help the whole community to see a photo of the art and know for sure if it exists (many pages from golden and silver age were destroyed - but no one knows which ones for sure).
Current and Past Owners
Current and Past owners of pages are encouraged to create transaction records (Owner/Buy/Sell) so we all can track the sales history of a piece (as well as owner comments, memories, etc). Most information is Anonymous if desired.
Portfolio Tracking
The Comic Art Database can be used by individuals to record and track their collections (or wish lists) for their own use and records.
Unique Page Identifier (UPI)
All registered art pages are assigned a Unique Page Identifier (UPI) which is a unique number to identify individual pieces. Collectors can be sure they are discussing the correct page when they use a UPI. This is important because comics repeat titles with different volume numbers of similar title names.

Royer has stated he didn't do it and it looks like Verpoorten's work.

• 2013-04-05 - Added Title Page as a page Type and fixed navigation bug in For Sale Gallery.
• 2013-03-21 - Header Changes and some CSS style changes.
• 2013-03-06 - Fixed sorting on Page Number. Gallery and Portfolio page showing PageNo in correct order now.
• 2013-03-05 - Issue Number field (IssueNo) is now a Text field and can contain info like (Annual #2, TPB, Unpublished, etc)
