One of the panels is an iconic Spider-Man pose that served as the inspiration for the sought-after 1966 Aurora Spider-Man model kit. The fourth panel of this page, depicting Spider-Man posed on a staircase railing of an abandoned building was transformed into a three dimension model in the same year and became one of the first mass marketed licensed products featuring a major Marvel hero. In the days before action figures and toy sets of comic book characters were ubiquitous on store shelves, the Aurora model set was one of the first times that fans would have seen Spidey leap from the pages of the comics into another format. This model even predated the 1967 Spider-Man cartoon series, so it was truly one of the very first Spider-Man licensed products.
